Pantai Serdang Beach In Belitung, Indonesia

by David & Intan

Pantai Serdang Beach is a nice white sand beach with colorful boats, on the east coast of Belitung island in Indonesia.

Itโ€™s a bit harder to reach than some of the others, but youโ€™re rewarded with a wide open, photogenic beach thatโ€™s never crowded.

This travel guide will explain how to get there, and everything you need to know before you go!

Where To Stay In Belitung

Pantai Serdang Beach

Serdang Beach has perfect white sand (some of the best Iโ€™ve seen in Indonesia), and the traditional fishing boats lined up on the shore are great for photo ops.

Sadly a lot of trash has built up at Serdang over the years. Please donโ€™t drop anything here. If you can pick up something on your way out, thatโ€™s even better.

Since itโ€™s east facing it has the potential to be a good sunrise spot, although you would probably want a homestay in Manggar for that, since the beach is a bit far from Tanjung Pandan.

How To Get There

Serdang Beach is located on the east coast of Belitung island, about 1.5 hours from Tanjung Pandan city.

The best way to get there is to rent a scooter or hire a private car and driver. You can book either of these with Billitone Capture.

Belitung Private Driver & Motorbike Rental

If you want to explore Belitung in the comfort and safety of a private car with a driver, my recommendation would be Billitone Capture (+62 853-1555-5288).

Their price is 400k Rupiah ($26 USD) for a day tour of driving and sightseeing in Belitung for 1-5 passengers. That's the total price for the whole car + driver + petrol. For longer distance trips, there may be a surcharge.

If you'd rather travel by motorbike, they have that too. Their scooter rentals start at 75k Rupiah (~$5) in Tanjung Pandan city.
